Mindfulness Meditation for Life
We awake each day to our life , with its currents and flows, with its challenges and pains, with its patterns and hopes, joys and pleasures.
We find ourselves in the centre of this life, our life, feeling, thinking, at times managing and being.
This sense of being in the centre, this sense of self, is a mysterious presence in our life , one which meditation encounters directly and shines a light on.
Mindfulness meditation offers a capacity to notice and know the landscape of our life with its sense of self, and a gentle but profound shift in our understanding of this process of identification. And we continue to be ourselves in the face of life and its changes.
In this course we will explore the great vulnerability and freedom of meeting life as it is, and deepen our understanding of how the natural process of identification influences our experience .
Investigations will include;
-this life with its worldy flows of experience of inherently linked positive and negative, changing experience
-the process of identification, how it functions and arises and functions in our relationship with others and our self
-the spectrum of identification from personal to transpersonal
-the Buddha’s teachings around the self sense
-contemporary psychological understandings in relation to Dharma
-the refuge of openness and non defendedness
Cost $120
Suitable for those with an understanding of mindfulness meditation.
