The event cost of $30 covers a contribution to venue hire, travel costs etc, and there will be an opportunity to offer dana/donations for the teaching at the end of the workshop.

Insight Dialogue Daylong – Sunday July 3

Insight Dialogue is an interpersonal meditation practice that brings the mindfulness and tranquility of traditional silent meditation into our experience with others. Resting on the foundation of traditional Buddhist teachings, this practice offers a way to integrate our dedication to a path of wisdom and compassion with our relational lives. Following instructions about the practice and meditation guidelines of Insight Dialogue, participants will be invited into dyads (pairs) and meditation practice together.

For more information about the practice of Insight Dialogue, please see https://metta.org/insight-dialogue-3/

This workshop is best suited to people with an established meditation practice, but previous insight dialogue experience is not required.

NOTE: Because the Insight Dialogue guidelines will be taught in sequence and much of the meditation is done in pairs, please plan to arrive on time and stay for the entire day

Food: Please bring your own lunch. Teas and herbal teas will be supplied.

Cost: $30 + dana* early bird (before 3 June 2016 unless sold out prior) or $45 full price
The ticket price only covers a contribution to venue hire, travel costs etc and there will be an opportunity to offer dana/donations for the teaching at the end of the event

*Dana

In most Buddhist traditions the teachers are not paid to teach. Instead, the teachings are given on a ‘dana’ basis – dana being the Pali word for generosity or giving freely. At the end of the course, participants are invited to reciprocate this generosity by offering dana to support the teacher.
