dissolving its shell
smithereens of agony scattered far
as the Heart’s former secrets

I wrote this poem the day after I’d been on a 3 day residential retreat that Stephen Archer facilitated, ‘The Way of Mindfulness’. Throughout the weekend, I came across some profound and simple truths for myself, simply by opening to my senses.
